Is The Dog Door Responsible For This?

Labrador Retriever on couchIf you get a dog door for your lab he will start living the good life. I think I have the happiest Labrador Retriever in the state of Michigan and I attribute that to installing a dog door for my lab. If he isn't posted up on the couch, he is trying to sneak something outside to add to his collection of "chew toys" scattered about the back yard. Dupree likes to wait until I'm occupied and then he runs through the dog door with a trophy toy, usually a shoe. He is always so busy coming in and out of his dog door.

Today I was making myself a sandwich and watched him bolt through the dog door straight to his water bowl to quench his thirst midway through an intense play session in the backyard. He turned and looked at me hoping for a treat it seemed and when I didn't move toward the treat jar he headed right back outside to play with the many chew toys he commandeered from of the house.

No wonder he is so tired this evening. Another fun filled day for him and I honestly owe the freedom the dog door provides him. I really enjoy watching him have fun and I am very happy knowing that when I am not home that he is still enjoying himself, getting exercise outside, and keeping busy. Get your rest buddy because I know you have a busy day tomorrow.
