Dog door makes so much noise I can't even sleep at night!

My friend shared a story with me today about his weekend up north that you may relate to. The story takes place at a cabin in northern Michigan and it is about how two dogs coming and going through a metal dog door created a great deal of noise, and that noise was loud enough to keep everyone from sleeping at night. These two dogs did not get along, therefore, were kenneled in the garage in two different areas and both metal dog doors led out to two different dog runs outdoors.
