labrador retriever with large rawhide chew boneHow did he do it? The rawhide chew bone is larger than him and too wide to fit through his dog door when he grabs it in the center with is mouth. Yet he managed to place this trophy bone in the backyard with the rest of his treasures. I will capture this amazing feat on video soon.

Get Back Your Independence By Installing a Dog Door

I came across this blog today and it brings up some awesome advantages of having a dog door. It was neat to read because I can relate to every thing she is saying. The author, Pam Hogle, recently moved into a new apartment house that has a large backyard and a dog door. She writes about how spoiled her dogs are because they now have their independence. She also writes about how spoiled she is too, citing specific examples of joy that include little inconveniences like waiting in the rain by the doorstep for your dog to finish going potty. Check it out. I think you will find her post very interesting whether you own a dog door or are thinking about installing a dog door. >> A Doorway To Your Dog's Independence

Is The Dog Door Responsible For This?

Labrador Retriever on couchIf you get a dog door for your lab he will start living the good life. I think I have the happiest Labrador Retriever in the state of Michigan and I attribute that to installing a dog door for my lab. If he isn't posted up on the couch, he is trying to sneak something outside to add to his collection of "chew toys" scattered about the back yard. Dupree likes to wait until I'm occupied and then he runs through the dog door with a trophy toy, usually a shoe. He is always so busy coming in and out of his dog door.
